Daily Tours
Free Public Tours
Hear stories about the history of coins in Australia and learn how they are made on a free guided tour. Join one of our Museum Hosts to discover the story of Australia's coins and take a walk above the Mint factory floor to see where your coins are made. Tours are 45 minutes in length. Daily: 10:30am, 11:30am, 1pm and 2pm. Bookings essential.
Quiet Mornings at the Mint
The Mint opens its doors earlier than usual for regular mornings of peaceful exploration. Our Quiet Mornings are specially designed for those who might have heightened sensory requirements. Come and visit our newly renovated exhibition space and enjoy the reduced noise and smaller crowds. Bookings are required and free.
Songlines Tour
Join us on this unique tour to celebrate and acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stories and experiences! See coins and hear stories that will teach you about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and histories and celebrate the oldest, continuous living culture on earth. Monday to Friday at 11.00am. Bookings are essential.
Schools
Onsite education programs
We offer an hour-long onsite school program at the Royal Australian Mint in Deakin ACT that is best suited to Years 3-6 students but can be adjusted to suit the needs of any age group from preschool to tertiary. Bookings available 8.30am to 5pm weekdays.
Book your school group through Book Canberra Excursions (you’ll need to register and login). Home school families can also register to book through the Book Canberra Excursions site. For any questions or issues with the booking site, call us on (02) 6202 8746 or email us at group.bookings@ramint.gov.au.
