The Colours of Christmas series celebrates the uniquely Australian experience of Christmas in summer, when swimming, beaches and outdoor activities are part of the festive season. Australia’s spectacular coral reefs take centre stage with this stunning design, celebrating the vivid beauty and extraordinary diversity of our underwater world.
Design
Inspired by the brilliant colours and organic forms of coral reefs, this stunning coin features a striking kaleidoscope of purple, blue, green, pink, red, orange and yellow. Set against intricate relief work, the vibrant colours create a sense of movement and depth, evoking sunlight filtering through tropical waters and the remarkable life flourishing beneath the surface. The radial pattern surrounds a 2026 centrepiece, and is an abstract interpretation of stained glass, stars, snowflakes and spiked sea urchins. Together, the pattern creates a decorative Christmas aesthetic.
Each uncirculated coin is presented in the centre of a stunning, large decoration card, alive with swirls of colour and gold foil highlights. There are five colourways: light blue, dark blue and purple, red and pink, orange and green. Together the elements create a bold, contemporary interpretation of an Australian summer Christmas - where festive brilliance meets the wonders of the ocean.

The silver proof coin is beautifully packaged in a tin Christmas bauble with a matching colour print and Royal Australian Mint ribbon and includes a certificate of authenticity.
